Ready, Set and Slow
Today I completed my readings for DC 2009 for up to this week. My thoughts of DC 2009 are pretty positive being that in my opinion chapters 1-6 appear to be informative and useful. Since the readings I've discovered that I knew even less about computers, than I thought. Even though I have heard terms such as motherboards, RAM, ROM, CPU, MHz/GHz etc., after the readings I have a better view of computers. Its funny that after about chapter 4, I had thoughts of building my own computer (wishful thinking). Another, interesting aspect so far was the lecture with Sir Tim Berners-Lee ( the 45 mins. I did view). However my most sophisticated accomplishments for LIS 2600 so far was my long awaited success of downloading Foxmarks Bookmark Synchronizer (don't laugh) and last but not least my enlightenment of del.icious. Because frankly before my enlightenment I had no clue about del.icious, tagging etc. (pitiful I know), anyhow after all my downloads I went to del.icious and discovered all my tags, in which, I had no idea I had tagged. My new found tags were, of course, my many mozilla downloads. I think I'm really going to appreciate this class. So for now, I'm going to stop this tech talk and finish tagging.
